In the Canadian military the military police are affectionately referred to as “meat heads”. I personally think that meat is too expensive to be wasted on these idiots and call them “bone heads” or “totem trolls” – a reference to the totem pole thing in their crest. Anyhow… the crest originally read SECURITAS, which is Latin for “mindless thugs”.

The government of British Columbia has again managed to fuckup1 my new birth certificate by sending all the relevant paper work to the wrong address – not an old address but one that does not exist.

Hello?

I sent the the completed forms, which include my address and phone number and to these idiots and they can’t figure out how to send them to me?

The woman that I spoke to told me that Canada Post returned everything to the BC Ministry of Vital Statistics on 22 August – why oh why did the ass-hats not phone me if they can’t deduce what address is? Oh, that’s right, they can’t read.

Oh well, at least she had the courtesy to address me as Ms Bickford after she advised mm “that’s what it used to be – it’s Charlotte Katherine in the system”.

[1] mess up, screw up or bugger up just don’t cut it.

A bit of fun at the expense of all things military

Brought to you by Port San Juan – oh how I love this place.

if you’re serious about loosing weight, seriously need to loose weight or are just curious about what you are consuming, then step bake from the bacon and take a look at what this cool tool provided by about.com health can do for you. In this example, I selected Butternut Squash.1

You can adjust the serving size to suit your needs, which is handy as the default portions of some food are not that useful – for example, by default the serving size for butter is also one cup.

Anyhow, a handy little bit of geekery, and it’s free.
